Construction of two highly sustainable warehouses has commenced in Broomhall, Worcester.

Benniman is constructing units six and seven, 31,676 sq ft and 39,997 sq ft respectively, on behalf of leading logistics developer and manager, St. Modwen.

The new high-specification units represent the third phase of a 17-acre (6.9 ha) development site in an established industrial and logistics location.

Both buildings will target EPC A+ and BREEAM Excellent. They will include smart LED lighting, which will reduce energy consumption by up to 75%, and 15% roof lights which will reduce the need for additional daylight lighting.

Completion of both units is expected in the summer of 2024.

It is the latest industrial/logistics project to be delivered by Benniman on behalf of St. Modwen, having already completed five other projects in the last three years.

Paul Barfoot, Commercial Director of Benniman, said: “The construction of units six and seven at St. Modwen Park Broomhall continues our successful relationship with St. Modwen. We’re already making great progress on-site and look forward to completing and handing over the units later this year.”
