Overview

The topography of this development required 9 weeks of earthworks, moving 70,000m³ of material and the placement of stone piles below the footprint of the buildings. The two units are divided by 225m of retaining walls with sections 5 metres in height.

The development plateau allowed the construction of two units:

DC7 – 231,772 sq ft unit, 8,515 sq ft office space and 5,909 sq ft of hub office space

DC8 – 86,938 sq ft unit and 5,382 sq ft office space

In addition, Benniman managed the installation of a new substation, diversion of high voltage and low voltage mains, foul and surface water, telecoms and gas connections.

To gain access to the development a new S278 works entrance and realignment of the local access road was completed.
