Benniman appointed to deliver 220,000 sq ft logistics unit at DIRFT

Benniman has been appointed by Prologis to deliver a new logistics and distribution facility at Daventry International Rail Freight Terminal (DIRFT) inNorthamptonshire.

The new unit, DC8, will provide 217,785 sq ft of high-quality space, featuring 21 dock and three level access doors, tenant enhancements and outside amenity areas.

Built to industry-leading sustainability standards, the scheme will target EPC A+, BREEAM Outstanding, Social values measurement and net zero carbon in construction. The fast-track build programme is expected to complete in just 34 weeks.

The development forms part of Prologis RFI, a well established logistics park already home to major occupiers including Tesco, DHL and Sainsbury’s.

This project continues the strong working relationship between Benniman and Prologis, which has already delivered a series of schemes across the UK.

Previous projects include a 357,000 sq ft at Prologis Apex Park, two units at Prologis Park Ryton totalling 481,000 sq ft and a 335,000 sq ft warehouse at Prologis Park Wellingborough West.
